Streamline Your Construction Season with Bolt-on Balconies

Construction season is well underway in America. During this busy time of year, project managers and contractors are on the lookout for new tools and technologies to make sure their new builds are completed on schedule. As a leader in modern metals manufacturing, Midwest Iron’s innovative bolt-on balcony offers a brilliantly simple way to do just that.

In this blog, we’ll explain why our state-of-the-art bolt-on balconies should be an essential part of any construction season build.

Instant Efficiency

The main quality that makes our bolt-on balconies so unique is in the name – all you have to do is bolt them onto your building. They require no onsite assembly. Once we deliver our balconies to your job site, our proprietary design ensures that they will be fully tied in and supported in just a few minutes.

Even though our balconies are a breeze to install, we go the extra mile to guarantee the installation process goes as smoothly as possible. That’s why we offer training for any Midwest Iron customer in the U.S. as well as certified installers for any installation in the Wisconsin area. And our expert support team is always ready to pick up the phone if you have any questions.

Midwest Iron has also optimized the design and production process of our balconies to facilitate a speedy start-to-finish timeline with zero room for error. We develop a custom production plan for each project, and every step of that project is value engineered – this means that our engineering team determines the lowest cost methods to get the job done while still maintaining our high quality standards.

Strong, Sustainable Materials

When it comes to building materials, construction pros are searching for options that are easy to work with and durable for the long haul. Midwest Iron bolt-on balconies are made of hand-welded aluminum, an excellent material choice for balconies. Aluminum is lightweight, making it much easier to transport and install than other commonly used metals like steel.

Despite its light weight, aluminum is very strong. It has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of all metals. In fact, Midwest Iron bolt-on balconies can hold 5,000 lbs.

Aluminum’s strength is key to its longevity, with many aluminum building products lasting 70+ years. Much of this lasting strength in outdoor environments comes from its corrosion resistance. Aluminum naturally produces an oxide layer that protects it against deterioration due to rust.

Aluminum is also a top choice for companies striving to become more environmentally friendly. Aluminum is 100% recyclable – it can be recycled over and over again without losing any of its properties.

Leading Technology

In a highly competitive construction market, the leading technology gets the edge. One of our customers’ favorite benefits of our bolt-on balconies is our exclusive WaterDek technology. This water tracking system drains rainwater off of a balcony floor without dripping onto any other balconies or people below it. It’s a great perk for people who want to make the most of their outdoor space, particularly for residential builds like apartment buildings. The WaterDek system comes standard on all Midwest Iron bolt-on balconies.

Quality Guarantee

At Midwest Iron, we know that safe and secure products are paramount for any construction project. We back every project with a certified safety guarantee. You can depend on the quality of our materials, our process, and the products we deliver. Our bolt-on balconies are hand-welded and hand-inspected by seasoned experts, and we use only the highest quality aluminum to ensure our products meet your standards.

Expansive Versatility

Efficiency is top of mind throughout construction season. To help you stay on track, we offer over 35 discrete balcony styles that we can customize to fit your existing project specs without missing a beat. Backed by years of experience, we deliver all types of exterior balconies, including cantilevered, stacked, post-tensioned slab, and refined Juliet-style solutions. We can also work with you to incorporate accents, like glass gates or wood railings. Our customers rest assured knowing that our balconies will look and perform exactly as desired.
